Finding the Balance Between Endrocine and Nervous System Yields Results

A study published last year in the Journal of Neuroendocrinology, examines the possibility of acupuncture treatment assisting in rebalancing of a complex ailment known as PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). PCOS is caused by a disorder in the endocrine system which has cascading effects on other systems that may induce diabetes, cardiovascular risk and impaired mental health.

Anecdotal evidence from patients with PCOS and similar symptoms have responded positively to acupuncture, modified diet and traditional hormone replacement therapy.
