Ginkgo biloba Fails to Prevent Dementia
In a large (3069 participants aged 75 years or older), multiple clinical study, patients were assessed every 6 months for dementia. 120 mg of Ginkgo biloba extract consumed twice a day was not effective in reducing either the overall incidence rate of dementia or Alzheimer disease incidence in elderly individuals with normal cognition or those with mild cognitive impairment.
